When and where do you play?

For league, we play at the Roosevelt Ice Hockey Arena part of the newly developed Hills Adult Hockey League (HAHL). This is the same rink the NAHL Badland Sabers play at (Roosevelt Park Ice Arena). The Dakota Jackalopes are in the A Division and typically play on Wednesday nights. League days/nights are Sunday and Wednesday. The Dakota Jackalopes also play in 3-4 tournaments per year. We also host skates to include Women only skates, Co-Ed practices & "Jake's Skates."

Are you guys (and gals) pros?

Only at our 9am-5pm jobs unfortunately. Even though some games it does feel like we are playing for the Stanley Cup.

Is this a City League?

No, this is the 2nd year of the league Hills Adult Hockey Leage (HAHL). This was developed by the ownership of the Badland Sabre’s after the city was unable to efficiently run the recreational adult hockey league. Having the league go private costs have increased up to 30% per team.

How long does the season last?

The season lasts 6 months and is split up into 2 sessions, the fall and winter sessions. Over 24 games included practice dates/times.

What kind of exposure will I get?

Our players and participants live, work and spend money in the Black Hills and surrounding communities.

There are over 20 teams in A, B, C and D Divisions with an average of 15 players (men & women). Each team plays 10 regular season games with at least 2 playoff games per session (2 sessions per year + Summer league).

Are you a 503C nonprofit?

Not yet but strive to be in the future. We want to be able to host tournaments and give back to our community while helping others and develop the culture of hockey in western South Dakota. We did form an Black Hills Hockey Players Association, LLC to help with this goal.

How do we sponsor?

You can send money via cash, check, venmo, paypal or we can send you an invoice to pay via credit card. We can give you the details for each when needed.

You can go to our website at www.bhhockey.com and complete the sponsorship form and donate at the desired amount.

Where does our money go?

Your sponsorship money goes to ice rental costs, team fees and tournament fees to keep costs down for our players. All of these things help create a memorable tournament for all involved!

I can’t commit to a monetary donation can I volunteer my services?

Absolutely, our players appreciate any help they can get, if you have services, you would like to donate please let us know.

How do I send you my logo and what format?

You can send your logo via email to karr0040@gmail.com in .pdf, .eps, .ai, .png, or .jpeg format. Don't have your logo on file? Let us know and we can help you track it down as your sign maker or your local print shop may have it on file.

Can I donate products?

YES! Your products and SWAG will not go unused. Players love rocking gear with your logo on it or stopping by your establishment to enjoy some food and beverages.
